The Sexson Family

This weekend I am enjoying spending time with my three favorite little girls. Mickynzie, Brenna, and Shaylee (and their two wonderful parents) came from Texas for the week to spend time with my family. Unfortunately, I had to spend the week at school. They did join me for lunch on Tuesday at Southern, and then I came home for a few hours Thursday night to take their pictures and decorate fall cookies with them. I cannot believe how much they have grown since last year’s photoshoot! They are the most beautiful girls in the South (no bias whatsoever) and I love the pictures we got of them. I am so grateful Jesus chose to put them in my life 7 1/2 years ago. There Momma is an amazing best friend and they are the best snugglers, models, and gigglers around! Without further ado…

Thanks for coming to Georgia, Sexsons! So glad you are “part” of our family! Travel safely and come back to see us soon! Love you!

Evan and Joni: TTD

Evan and Joni are two of the coolest people I know. Those of you who have been following my blog for a while might recognize them. Joni is the gorgeous redhead who braved the woods in her stunning blue dress for me, and Joni and Evan’s engagement session this past spring also showcases their good looks. The plan was for me to second shoot at their wedding, as well, but due to conflicting schedule and the fact that their wedding was in British Colombia, I was unable to make it. Since Joni and Evan are such amazing people, however, they decided to do an after-wedding session with me. This kind of session is referred to as a Trash the Dress session. In these sessions, brides do go as extreme as to take pictures in the water, paint in the dresses, cut up their dresses, etc., but they also can be as simple as taking pictures in places you would not have felt comfortable with before the wedding just in case the dress got dirty. In order to preserve Joni’s dress, they opted for the second scenario. So, while the edges of her dress got a little dirty, it is still in beautiful condition and mostly unharmed. And just look at the pictures we got! Ahh! I love these two!

Thanks again, Evan and Joni! I had a blast with you two… I love these pictures and the memories they preserve.

Evan and Joni: Sneak Peek

Wow, do I have beautiful friends! Tonight, Evan, Joni, and I headed to downtown Chattanooga for a “Trash the Dress” photo session. Evan and Joni are great in front of the camera and tons of fun to be with. It is super late so I am only going to post a few for now, but there are more to come. For now, enjoy!

How much more gorgeous does it get?

Hope you guys enjoyed the preview! Cannot wait to show you more… Love you guys! And thanks again for dinner.

Jonathan and Lindsay: E-Session

I was finally able to get these pictures edited on my plane ride home. I’m very happy with the pictures we ended up with and excited to share them.

And my favorite for last…

Congratulations, Jonathan and Lindsay! Can’t wait to see pictures from your wedding! Blessings!

Jonathan and Lindsay: E-Session Preview

I was a good girl yesterday and got all of my reading finished for my 11:00 class today. Wish I could say this was just good study skills, but truth be told I had a fun engagement shoot scheduled for the time period between my morning classes. Jonathan and Lindsay are great people and I am thrilled for them and their upcoming marriage. Michael (Jonathan’s brother) and I were privileged to get to take these fun photos of them. I only have one ready because homework is calling, but more are to follow. For now, enjoy the sneak peek!
