Sabbath in South Carolina: Caj and Blu

What a refreshing weekend! With homework piling up in mounds and late nights all week long, I was MORE than ready for the weekend. As soon as government class was over on Friday, I packed my bags and headed home. I walked in my door only to walk right back out it, this time with my whole family, though. Mom, Dad, Dave, and I made the 3 1/2 hour drive to spend Sabbath with Mom’s sister Wanda and her family. I slept nearly the entire way there, which was marvelous. Just what I needed. And what a delight Sabbath was! Caj, 5, and Blu, 4, are truly princesses. They are beautiful, polite, sweet, and a joy to be around. After lunch, while the men in our family were napping, Caj, Blu, and I headed outside to play for a few minutes. These pictures were snapped with my point and shoot, but I adore them! Our day flew by to fast, and I miss these angels already. Look forward to our next visit!

Aunt Karen gave the girls these lovely sundresses… What fun!

My FAVORITE picture of the afternoon: Does it get any sweeter than this?!

Love and miss you girls already! Come see me soon!

The Hopps Family

It is probably safe for me to say that, aside from my own mother, Nikki Hopps is my #1 fan. Sure, many people appreciate my work, but Nikki has stuck with me through the years, never hesitating to give her stamp of approval on most all of my work. Her faithful comments keep me excited to share my work. This past Thursday evening, Nikki, her husband Justin, and their two adorable boys met me in Collegedale for their own photoshoot. Pictures with a 13 month-old are less than easy, but we had a fantastic time together and I have so many favorites from the session. Here are just a few of the fantastic shots we got…

First off, my handsome “baby” brother, who so graciously helped play with the boys and keep up with the stroller while I ran around taking pictures

I LOVE this picture. I think it is the perfect illustration of their lives at this point. The adoring parents watch on as their 13 month-old pouts at having to sit still to have his picture taken, and big brother gets bored waiting for baby brother to cooperate

Maybe my favorite picture from the entire shoot…

And, in closing, a picture of the boys loving, hard-working parents…

Thanks for trusting my photographic ability enough to come to TN for pictures! You are such a neat family. May God continue to heap His blessings on your family!

The Hopps Family: Sneak Peek

Well, I’ve been trying to get this photo up since Thursday evening, but have been having technical difficulties. Justin and Nikki drove out to TN with their boys to see friends and get their pictures taken. I’ve been dying to share this preview with them. So finally, Nikki, here is your sneak peek!
